For a fifth year, CLB is partnering with Faisons notre part – Shawinigan for a major lake cleanup. Volunteers are needed to help ensure diver safety or to transport debris to shore using non-motorized watercraft. Certified divers can also take part directly in the underwater cleanup.
For the fifth consecutive year, Conservation Lac Brome is partnering with Faisons notre part – Shawinigan to organize a large-scale lake cleanup. The event will take place on July 11 at 400 Lakeside Road (accessible via Fisher’s Point Road) and aims to remove debris accumulated on the lakebed with the help of certified divers and volunteers.
Two time slots are available: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Several roles need to be filled: volunteers in canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards are needed to ensure diver safety around motorized boats, while others will help transport collected debris to the shore using non-motorized watercraft. Certified divers are also invited to take part directly in the underwater cleanup.
Your involvement makes all the difference! Join us as a volunteer and help protect Brome Lake in a tangible way.
Finally, to help prevent the spread of invasive species, please remember to clean your watercraft and equipment at the Lac-Brome washing station before participating. Thank you for your cooperation!
