Ditch Cleanup

As part of Earth Day, Conservation Lac Brome invites the local community to take action by participating in a large-scale ditch cleanup event taking place within the Brome Lake watershed on April 22, 2026.

One of CLB’s main protection priorities is stormwater runoff management. The health of a lake is directly linked to the health of its watershed. Pollutants carried by rainwater (such as waste, sediment, and contaminants) travel through ditches and waterways before ultimately reaching the lake.

Water quality is therefore not only the responsibility of lakeshore residents, but of everyone living near a ditch, stream, or any other watercourse connected to Brome Lake.

Through this collective cleanup activity, we aim to take concrete action to reduce pollution at its source, improve water quality, and raise awareness about the important role each individual can play in protecting our lake.
